What are you tiling on when you are refurbishing or installing a bathroom or kitchen?
If you're preparing to do a ceramic floor or wall installation, it's recommended that you install HardieBacker® cement board on your subfloor or wall before you begin to lay the tile. HardieBacker® is designed to add extra strength to the floor while adding mold and moisture resistance, and has become a standard for any tile installation. Installing Hardibacker® cement board isn't too difficult, and will ensure your tiling project lasts for the life of your home.

Particularly suitable for use around baths, showers and in kitchens HardieBacker® cement board provides the greatest flexural and compressive strength available, while offering Mouldblock™ Technology. It provides an excellent tile bonding surface, so you do not need to worry about costly call-backs.
Produced with James Hardie’s proprietary cement composite formulation, this no-mesh board is the lightest cement board available and cuts easily, even in tight, awkward spaces. It contains no paper facing, a food source for mould, or gypsum, which can disintegrate with continuous moisture exposure. HardieBacker® cement board is backed by a 10-year limited product warranty.
HardieBacker® 250 cement board is the essential tile substrate for floors and countertops it is a 6 mm thick compact tiling board which creates minimal additional build-up to the floor. It features the exclusive EZ Grid® recessed fastener pattern to make installation even easier.
Size: 900 x 1500 x 6mm
HardieBacker® 500 cement board with a 12 mm thickness is an ideal choice for wet area walls; its smooth surface may be tiled, textured or wallpapered. However if additional height is required HardieBacker® 500 cement board may be used for floor or worktop applications.
